工業和信息化部表示，我國将建設國家工業互聯網大數據中心，加強對中國工業互聯網公司海外上市的監管和協調。China will build a national data center for the industrial internet and strengthen the supervision and coordination of overseas listings of Chinese industrial internet companies, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

2018年，工信部出台《工業互聯網發展行動計劃（2018-2020）》，提出到2020年底，初步建成工業互聯網基礎設施和産業體系。近日，工信部印發《工業互聯網專項工作組2020年工作計劃》，提出了10大任務類别共54項具體舉措，主要任務包括提升基礎設施能力、構建标識解析體系、建設工業互聯網平台、突破核心技術标準、培育新模式新業态、促進産業生态融通發展、增強安全保障水平、推進開放合作、加強統籌推進、推動政策落地等十方面。

2017年11月國務院發布的《關于深化“互聯網 先進制造業”發展工業互聯網的指導意見》提出的發展目标是：到2025年，覆蓋各地區、各行業的工業互聯網網絡基礎設施基本建成，工業互聯網标識解析體系不斷健全并規模化推廣，基本形成具備國際競争力的基礎設施和産業體系；到2035年，建成國際領先的工業互聯網網絡基礎設施和平台，工業互聯網全面深度應用并在優勢行業形成創新引領能力，重點領域實現國際領先；到本世紀中葉，工業互聯網創新發展能力、技術産業體系以及融合應用等全面達到國際先進水平，綜合實力進入世界前列。
