pay, spend, cost 和take
pay ,spend, cost和 take 都有“花費”的意思,為了弄清它們之間的區别，下面分别把這四個詞的用法總結一下：
（１） pay的主語為人，後面與介詞for搭配,表示“花······錢買······”。例：
He paid 5000 yuan for the computer. 他花5000元買了台電腦。
How much did you pay for your guitar lessons? 你上吉他課花了多少錢？
（２） spend的主語也是人，我們通常用spend…on 或spend…(in) doing sth來表示“在上······面花費時間/金錢”或“花費…時間/金錢做某事”。例：
He spent 50 yuan on the dictionary. 他花50元買了本字典。
They spent 3 months building the library. 他們花了三個月建那個圖書館。
（３） cost的主語為物，表示“值······錢”，它不用于被動語态。例：
The book cost me 10 dollars. 這本書花了我10元錢。
How much does it cost to fly to Hainan? 坐飛機到海南要花多少錢？
（４） take的主語為物，表示花費時間，通常用于it take sb sometime to do sth句型。例：
The work took four hours.做這項工作要花四個小時。
It took me three hours to finish my homework last night.我昨晚花了三個小時完成我的家庭作業。
