許多國人在學習英語過程中不喜歡學習太多的數字。與此同時，國人在英語溝通過程中，尤其是在英語聽力過程中，對英語數字的準确識别和理解是一大難題。這種困難一方面是由于中文與英語在日常生活中使用的時間等數字表達習慣有較大差異；另一方面，在數學中的存粹數字使用上，中英文之間還有一個萬位數進制與千位數進制的區别。這些都使得國人在閱讀和聽力中對理解英語的數字内容感到極具挑戰。

從國人學習英語數字的實踐重要性來說，在雅思/托福/四六級英語考試中，測試學生的數字和時間理解能力是這類考試的一個重要考核内容之一（尤其是在聽力考試部分）。因此，對于那些有出國留學計劃的學生和對英語中的科學内容感興趣的人來說，學會并熟練掌握理解英語中的數字極其重要，這将會對提高考試的聽力分數有很大幫助。

2） 剛開始進行練習的時候，請用紙筆，形成一邊聽英語裡的數字，一邊将阿拉伯數字寫在紙上的習慣。練習到一定階段後，請嘗試在腦海中進行數字投射法，即一邊聽英語數字，一邊将阿拉伯數字投射在自己的腦海中。學會這一方法對整體英語聽力提高都會有質的提升。

3） 用一個月的時間将英語數字聽力練習作為一個專門的項目進行強化訓練。将英語中的數字與阿拉伯數字進行相互轉換。這一點其實一點也不難。你至多花上一個月的時間，就可以将這種轉化練習得滾瓜爛熟。你不僅能夠明顯地地提高你的雅思/托福四六級英語成績，你也許以後一輩子都不會忘記這一技術。
