2）當表示年份的四個數字中前兩位為非0的數字，而後兩位數都為0時，後面的兩個0讀着“hundred”，如：1600年讀作sixteen hundred 1700年讀作seventeen hundred 1800年讀作eighteen hundred 1900年讀作nineteen hundred

3）當表示年份的四個數字中的第三個數字為0，而其他三個數字都不為0時，這個0讀着o，如：1605年讀作sixteen o five 1708年讀作seventeen o eight 1809年讀作eighteen o nine1908年讀作nineteen o eight 4）當表示年份的四個數字中的最後三個數字或中間兩個數字為0時，可分别采用第一個數字 thousand、第一個數字 thousand and 後一位數字來表示，如：1000年讀作one thousand2000年讀作two thousand1009年讀作one thousand and nine2009年讀作two thousand and nine5）當表示的年份為數字 B.C.（公元前）或A.D.（公元）時，可以按照前面提及的四個規則來讀年份的數字後再加上B.C.或A.D.，如：531 B.C.（公元前531年）讀作five hundred and thirty-one B.C.531 A.D.（公元531年）讀作five hundred and thirty-one A.D.2000 B.C.（公元前2000年）讀作two thousand B.C.2000 A.D.（公元2000年）讀作two thousand A.D.1009 B.C.（公元前1009年）讀作one thousand and nine B.C.1009 A.D.（公元1009年）讀作one thousand and nine A.D.2009 B.C.（公元前2009年）讀作two thousand and nine B.C.2009 A.D.（公元2009年）讀作two thousand and nine A.D.

2.年代的表達1）年代的書寫表達方式一般為：阿拉伯數字年份（最後一位數字為0） s，如：在19世紀80年代——in the 1880s在19世紀90年代——in the 1890s在20世紀80年代——in the 1980s在20世紀90年代——in the 1990s2）年代的讀法為：前兩位數讀原來的基數，而後兩位數讀它的複數形式，如：“在19世紀80年代（in the 1880s）”讀作“in the eighteen eighties”“在19世紀90年代（in the 1890s）”讀作“in the eighteen nineties”“在20世紀80年代（in the 1980s）”讀作“in the nineteen eighties”“在20世紀90年代（in the 1990s）”讀作“in the nineteen nineties”備注：在表示年代時，可将early（早期）/mid-（中期）/late（後期）放在年代前面來進行修飾，如：“在19世紀80年代早期（in the early 1880s）”讀作“in the early eighteen eighties”“在19世紀80年代中期（in the mid-1880s）”讀作“in the mid-eighteen eighties”“在19世紀80年代後期（in the late1880s）”讀作“in the late eighteen eighties”“在20世紀80年代早期（in the early 1980s）”讀作“in the early nineteen eighties”“在20世紀80年代中期（in the mid-1980s）”讀作“in the mid-nineteen eighties”“在20世紀80年代後期（in the late1980s）”讀作“in the late nineteen eighties”
