暨南大學（暨大，Jinan University），創建于1906年，坐落于廣東省廣州市，是中國第一所由國家創辦的華僑高等學府，直屬中央統戰部領導。暨南大學是國家“雙一流世界一流學科”“211工程”“985平台”重點建設高校。該校入選國家“111計劃”“2011計劃”“卓越醫生教育培養計劃”“卓越法律人才教育培養計劃”“國家大學生創新性實驗計劃”“國家級大學生創新創業訓練計劃”、教育部人文社會科學重點研究基地、國家大學生文化素質教育基地、國家對外漢語教學基地、國務院僑辦華文教育基地、國家建設高水平大學公派研究生項目、新工科研究與實踐項目、中國政府獎學金來華留學生接收院校、全國首批深化創新創業教育改革示範高校。[1]

暨南大學前身是1907年成立的暨南學堂，此後經曆國立暨南學校、國立暨南大學時期，1949年，部分院系合并于複旦大學、交通大學等高校，1958年重建，1978年，暨南大學再度複辦。1981年，成為全國高校中第一批具有學位授予權的單位。

Jinan University, formerly known as Jinan Academy, was founded in 1907. After that, it experienced the period of National Jinan University and National Jinan University. In 1949, some departments were merged with Fudan University and Jiao Tong University, etc. In 1958, Jinan University was re-established. In 1981, it became the first group of institutions of higher learning with the right to confer degrees.
