《The Ant and the Grasshopper》螞蟻和蚱蜢，來自伊索寓言，講述了一個發人深省的故事。
夏天時，蚱蜢隻知道玩耍，完全不為過冬做準備，還嘲笑辛勤工作的螞蟻；到了冬天，蚱蜢找不到食物，也沒有任何存糧，餓得奄奄一息，最後跑到螞蟻那裡讨吃的。小朋友們，你知道蚱蜢的問題在哪裡嗎？
Grasshopper sings in the sun.
蚱蜢在陽光下歌唱。
Ant works.
螞蟻工作。
"Play with me, " says Grasshopper.
"I can't, "says Ant.
“跟我玩，”蚱蜢說。
“我不能，”螞蟻說。
“But it's summer!”
“I need food for the winter.”
“但現在是夏天。”（蚱蜢說）
“我需要過冬的食物。”（螞蟻說）
"Winter will come, "says Ant.
"And you will be hungry."
“冬天要來了，”螞蟻說。
“你會餓的。”
Grasshopper laughs and sings.
Ant carries more corn.
蚱蜢笑着，唱着。
螞蟻攜帶更多玉米。
Winter comes.
冬天來了。
Grasshopper is cold...
...and very hungry.
蚱蜢很冷...
...也很餓。
"Come inside, " says Ant.
"Thank you, " says Grasshopper.
“快進來，”螞蟻說。
“謝謝，”蚱蜢說。
"Next summer I'll work too."
明年夏天我也要工作。
