考研英語單詞怎麼背？有的同學反映：一天下來，背十幾個單詞都記不住。

其實背英語單詞是一個大量重複的過程，不必急于一時，我們也都知道英文的單詞通常包含有前綴、後綴和詞根三部分。（前綴改變詞義，後綴改變詞性，詞根表達最基本的含義。）

詞根部分很多都是我們學過的一些基礎詞彙，所以在學習單詞時，若能掌握一定的前後綴的知識，然後結合詞根部分的基本含義，那麼背單詞将容易很多。

就拿unpredictability這個詞來說，詞根部分是dict,和“說”有關，pre是前綴，表示“前面”，前面還有一個表示否定的前綴un, 後面的ability是一個後綴，表示“某種能力”，通常翻譯為“可...性”，所以，綜合看來，這個單詞的意思就是“不可提前說出來的特性”，就是“不可預測性”。

還比如，知道normal 是 “正常的”，ab-是否定前綴，那麼abnormal 就是“不正常的”。但是請注意，這個單詞使用的時候，如果指人的話，通常指的是“變态的”，所以要慎用。
