遼甯工程技術大學（Liaoning Technical University）始建于1949年，原名阜新礦業學院，是原煤炭工業部隸屬的兩所全國重點大學之一、遼甯省國内一流大學建設高校[1][2]。 學校由遼甯省政府與應急管理部共建，先後入選國家大學生創新性實驗計劃實施高校，全國畢業生就業典型經驗高校，卓越工程師教育培養計劃高校[3]，中國政府獎學金來華留學生接收高校[4]，中西部高校基礎能力建設工程重點建設高校，CDIO工程教育聯盟成員單位，全國首批深化創新創業教育改革示範高校[5]，全國高校創新創業50強等。 據2019年9月學校官網顯示，學校建有阜新校區中華路校園、玉龍校園和葫蘆島校區龍灣校園，占地4240畝，其中阜新校區占地1900畝、葫蘆島校區占地2340畝，校舍建築面積73萬平方米；擁有8個一級學科博士學位授權點、27個二級學科博士學位授權點、16個一級學科碩士學位授權點、60個碩士學位授權點；專任教師1484人，在冊學生3.2萬人，其中全日制在校博士生、碩士生、本科生、留學生2.6萬人。

Liaoning Technical University was founded in 1949, formerly known as Fuxin Institute of Mining and Technology. It is one of the two national key universities under the former Ministry of Coal Industry and one of the domestic first-class universities in Liaoning Province. It has 8 doctorate programs in first-level disciplines, 27 doctorate programs in second-level disciplines, 16 master's programs in first-level disciplines, and 60 master's programs. There are 1,484 full-time faculty members and 32,000 registered students, including 26,000 full-time doctoral, master's, undergraduate and international students.
