如果先行詞是事物或動物，該用什麼呢?也用who, whose, whom嗎?

代替人的是人稱代詞，代替事物或動物的是指示代詞。同樣的，也單有代替事物或動物的關系代詞，并且也分為主格、所有格和賓格。

1、定語從句“三段論”：

This is the book.這是本書。

It is very interesting.它非常有趣。

把這兩個句子合成一個簡練的句子 。

This is the book it is very interesting. (x)

→不能直接将兩個句子首尾相連。

This is the book and it is very interesting. (V)

→句子正确，但是不夠簡練。

This is the book who is very interesting. (x)

→who隻能用于先行詞是人的時候。

This is the book which is very interesting. (V)這是一本非常有趣的書

→先行詞是事物時，應該用關系代詞which。

先行詞是事物或動物時，用which代替who。

先行詞是事物或者動物時，關系代詞也分為主格、所有格、賓格：

2、主格關系代詞：

（1）先行詞是事物：

This is the letter.

It arrived yeterday.

This is the letter it arrived yesterday. (x)

This is the letter and it arrived yesterday. (V)

This is the letter which arrived yesterday. (V)這是昨天到的那封信。

(2)先行詞是動物

I like the cat.我喜歡那隻貓。

It has blue eyes.它有藍色的眼睛。

I like the cat it has blue eyes. (x)

| like the cat and it has blue eyes. (V)

I like the cat which has blue eyes. (V)我喜歡那隻有藍色眼睛的貓。

先行詞是人，人稱代詞是主格形式，就用who,先行詞是事或物，人稱代詞是主格形式，就用which

3、所有格關系代詞

事物或動物的所有格和人的所有格，都用whose

(1 )先行詞是事物

This is the table.這是那張桌子。

Its leg was broken yesterday.它的桌腿昨天壞了。

This is the table its leg was broken yesterday. (x)

This is the table and its leg was broken yesterday. (V)

This is the table whose leg was broken yesterday. (V)

這是昨天桌腿壞了的那張桌子。

(2)先行詞是動物

I love the cat.我喜歡那隻貓 。

Its hair is black.它的毛是黑色的。

I love the cat its hair is black. (X)

I love the cat and its hair is black. (V)

I love the cat whose hair is black.(V)

另外，先行詞是事物時，也可以用of which代替whose。

I love the cat whose hair is black. (V)

= of which the hair (不加the是錯誤的)

= the hair of which

I love the cat of which the hair is black.(V)

所以，事物的所有格關系代詞既可以用whose,也可以用of which。

3、賓格關系代詞

先行詞是人時，賓格關系代詞用whom;先行詞是事物或動物時，賓格關系代詞用which。

This is the car.這是那輛小汽車。

I bought it yesterday.我昨天買的。

将這兩個句子合在一-起。

This is the car I bought it yesterday.(x)

This is the car and I bought it yesterday. (V)

This is the car which I bought yesterday. (V)這是我昨天買的小汽車。
