分譯法，奏是

把一個詞組或句子拆成兩個或兩個以上的詞句或句子表達

Immediate and continued success

不分譯的話：即時而持續的成功

分譯的話：

立見成效，且不斷有所成就

On every hand was a charming view of rocky buttresses and wooded heights.

不分譯的話：

到處是山石嶙峋、密林峰巅的迷人景色。

分譯之後：

到處是山石嶙峋，密林峰巅，景色迷人。

“a charming view / of rocky buttresses / and wooded heights”，把每個部分都處理成四字句，最後進行總結（景色迷人）。

又比如：

As I sat down on that hot and humid evening, there seemed to be no solutions to the problems thrashing around in my brain.

不分譯的話：

我在那個悶熱而潮濕的黃昏，似乎找不到解決我滿腦子裡翻騰起伏的問題的辦法。

分譯的話：

黃昏時分，既悶熱，且潮濕，我坐下來，滿腦子翻騰起伏的問題，似乎找不到解決辦法。

As I sat down/ on that hot and humid evening，先說時間狀語on that evening, 再說這個時間段的特性hot and humid，分開說，最後說發生的動作I sat down。

no solutions to/ the problems thrashing around in my brain，先提出問題the problems thrashing around in my brain，再說結果狀态no solutions。

再比如：

To feed himself, the boy took a job pasting labels on blacking bottles in a grim, rat-infested warehouse.

不分譯的話：

為了糊口，他在一家陰森森的、鼠滿為患的倉庫裡給發黑的瓶子貼标簽。

分譯的話：

為了糊口，他在一家倉庫給發黑的瓶子貼标簽。那倉庫陰森森的，裡面鼠滿為患。

先叙述事情，再單獨介紹倉庫的特性，将grim和rat-infested給抽離出來，如此一來，倉庫裡的惡劣環境便躍然紙上了。

還比如之前知新共學翻譯群遇到的一次練習：

Almost 20 years on Mr Cohen’s strange ascent to the pinnacle of American society, and the efforts of regulators to jail him for insider dealing, are the subject of “Black Edge”.

主語很長，而且定語有點多，要想簡單明了地說清楚，得稍微想一想。

不分譯的話：
