「duck face」是什麼意思？

今天我們要說的短語跟最近很火的鴨子（Duck）有關，

它就是Duck face。

不過它的意思可不是「鴨子臉」，而是我們常說的“拍照時的嘟嘟嘴”。

Duck face is a photographic pose, which is well known on profile pictures in social networks. Lips are pressed together as in a pout and often with simultaneously sucked in cheeks.

嘟嘟嘴是拍照時的一種姿勢，常見于社交網絡的用戶頭像。拍照者一般會擠嘴巴，做出嘟嘟的表情，同時會吸住兩頰。

例如：

Here's what people really think when you make a 'duck face' in your selfie.

你自拍的時候嘟嘟嘴，旁人的真實想法是這樣的。

英語中，跟duck（鴨子）有關的俚語還有很多，比如：

As happy as a duck in Arizona:

像亞利桑那州的鴨子一樣，指“不開心“。鴨子喜歡水，但是亞利桑那州是一個異常幹旱的州。

Dead duck:

A person or thing that is useless or hopeless. 沒用或者絕望的人。

例如：If I fail that test, I'm a dead duck.

如果不能通過這次考試，我就死定了。

Take to (something) like a duck to water：

做某事如鴨子戲水一樣容易

He took to acting like a duck to water.

演戲對他來說易如反掌。

Sitting duck:

Something that is unprotected and vulnerable to an easy attack. 不受保護的、脆弱的、容易收到攻擊的事物

The senator was a sitting duck because of his unpopular position on school reform.

因為他的改革方案不受待見，這位議員受到了攻擊。
