12月24日，十三屆全國人大常委會第三十二次會議表決通過了濕地保護法，标志着我國首部專門保護濕地的法律出台。該法将自2022年6月1日起施行。

Chinese lawmakers on Dec 24 voted to pass a new law on wetlands protection at the 32nd session of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress, establishing the country's first specialized law on the issue. The law will take effect on June 1, 2022.

該法規定，各級人民政府應當通過濕地保護日、濕地保護宣傳周等開展宣傳教育活動，增強全社會濕地保護意識。

Governments at all levels should raise public awareness of protecting wetlands through various campaigns, such as setting up "wetland protection day" or "wetland protection week," according to the law.

【知識點】

濕地，是指具有顯著生态功能的自然或者人工的、常年或者季節性積水地帶、水域，包括低潮時水深不超過六米的海域，但是水田以及用于養殖的人工的水域和灘塗除外。

濕地被喻為“地球之腎”，與森林、海洋并稱為全球三大生态系統。濕地具有涵養水源、淨化水質、維護生物多樣性、蓄洪防旱、調節氣候和儲碳固碳等重要生态功能，對維護我國生态、糧食和水資源安全都具有重要作用。

針對濕地保護進行專門立法，有利于從濕地生态系統的整體性和系統性出發，為強化濕地的保護和修複提供強有力的法治保障。

濕地保護法明确，濕地保護應當堅持保護優先、嚴格管理、系統治理、科學修複、合理利用的原則，發揮濕地涵養水源、調節氣候、改善環境、維護生物多樣性等多種生态功能。
