speak/say/tell/talk“四說”辨析

一、speak 說；講話；演講 （vi.）

1、過去式：spoke

過去分詞：spoken

2、speak to sb.和……講（電話用語）

例如：May I speak to Lucy?我能和Lucy說話嗎？

3、speak to/with sb.(about sth.)對某人說（某事）

例如：I spoke to /with the chairman about my idea. 我和主席談了我的想法。

I spoke to my brother about his car. 我和我哥哥談了他的車。

4、speak 語言 表示“說某種語言”（這裡的speak是及物動詞vt.）

in 語言 表示“用……語言說”（這裡的in是介詞prep.）

例如：I can speak English. 我會說英語。

Let' speak in Chinese.讓我們用中文說。

二、tell 告訴；講述

1、過去式：told

過去分詞：told

2、tell stories/a story講故事

3、tell sb. sth.=tell sth. to sb.告訴某人某事

例如：He told his parents the good news.=He told the good news to his parents.

4、tell sb.to do sth.告訴某人做某事

tell sb. not to do sth.告訴某人不要做某事

5、tell 區别；辨别；看

例如：I can tell the time.我會看時間。

I can't tell which is which. 我不能分辨哪個是哪個。

三、talk 談話；說話；與人交談

1、過去式：talked

過去分詞：talked

2、talk on the phone接電話=on the phone

3、talk to sb./with sb. 與……交談

例如：Jack is talking to/with his mother.

4、talk about sth.……談論某事

例如：We are talking about our job.

四、say、強調說話内容包括觀點、感受、想法

1、過去式：said

過去分詞：said

2、say to sb.對某人說

例如：What did you say to him?你對他說了什麼

3、say 句子

例如：He said (that)he wanted to go.他說他想要去。
