這裡的 act n. “假裝，裝模作樣”，一般用單數

put on an act 可以表示 “裝模作樣”

上文的play 是pretend (假裝) 的意思

還有一個類似的表達：Don't play dumb.

跟别人說Don't play dumb.

意思就是“别裝傻”

例：

常用來表達“别裝了，放下架子”
