　　DAY 52—My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dinelavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from ruining the occasional piece of furniture. Tomorrow I may eat another houseplant.

　　第 52 天——我的捕獲者繼續用奇形怪狀、懸挂着的小玩意兒逗弄我。他們大口大口地吃鮮肉，我卻隻能啃幹糧。唯一讓我挺住的是逃跑的希望以及偶爾破壞一件家具帶來的少許快感。明天我也許會再吃掉一棵室内植物。

　　DAY 53—Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded, must try this at the top of the stairs. In an attempt to disgust andrepulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favorite chair...must try this on their bed.

　　第 53 天——今天我在他們走路的時候圍着他們的腳轉來轉去，這一謀害他們的毒招差點就成功了，下次一定得在樓梯上試試。為了惡心這些卑鄙的壓迫者，我再一次讓自己往他們最喜歡的椅子上嘔吐……一定得在他們的床上試試這一招。

　　DAY 54—Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body, in an attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooedand condescended about what a good little cat I was... Hmmm. Not working according to plan.

　　第 54 天——砍了一隻老鼠的頭并把那具無頭屍送給了他們，目的是想讓他們知道我的本事，同時讓他們心生恐懼。他們隻是輕言細語、居高臨下地說我是隻乖巧的小貓……嗯，這一招看來不怎麼靈。
