“though/as”意為“盡管”，引導讓步狀語從句，一般位于主句之前；且常常将從句中的表語，狀語或動詞原形置于句首。若表語是名詞，前置時則要省略冠詞。though/as引導的讓步狀語從句，其結構為：
例如：
Child as he is, he knows a lot. (=Though/Although he is a child, he knows a lot.)盡管他是個孩子，卻懂得很多。
Try as he might, he could not find a job. (=Though/Although he might try, he could not find a job.)盡管很努力，但他還是找不到工作。
Happy though they are, there was something missing. (=Although they are happy, there was something missing.盡管他們很快樂，但總感覺少了點什麼。
注意：
as引導的讓步狀語從句必須将從句中的表語，狀語或動詞原形置于句首；though引導的讓步狀語從句，其用法可與as引導讓步狀語從句時一樣，也可以是正常語序；而although引導的讓步狀語從句，其用法則不可與as引導讓步狀語從句時一樣，必須是正常語序。
