2. be good for : 對…有用/有好處/有利

This medicine is good for a cold

這種藥對感冒有好處。

3. be afraid of (doing) something :

害怕某事/害怕做某事

I am afraid of snakes.

我還怕蛇。

He was afraid of losing face.

他擔心丢面子。

4. be afraid to do something:

（因沒有勇氣）不敢做某事，害怕做某事

Don`t be afraid to ask for help : 不要害怕請求幫忙。

He is afraid of being beaten by his father.

他怕被他爸打。

5. arrive in/at = get to = reach : 到達

arrive in 表示到達達地點，

My best friend arrived in Australia last Monday.

我最好的朋友上周一到達了澳大利亞。

arrive at表示到達小地點

The visitors arrived at the hotel this morning.

遊客們今天早上到達了賓館。

6. be made of 用…制成（看的出原材料）

The book is made of paper 書是由紙制成的

7. be made from 用…制成（看不出原材料）

The paper is made from wood.

紙是由木頭制成的。

8. be/get used to doing something : 習慣于做某事

He was used to staying up late.

他習慣于熬夜。

9. used to : 過去常常做某事

She used to do all the baking on Thursday.

過去她常常在周四烤東西。

10. be used to do something : 用來做某事

Wood is used to make paper.

木頭用來做紙。

11. In front of : 指在外部空間的前面

There are some trees in front of the house.

房子前面有一些樹。

12. In the front of : 指在空間内部的前面

The driver sits in the front of the bus.

司機坐在公交車前面。
